Stage 1: Gather the Materials

• There's a lot of rare materials
• Almost all materials come from Molten Core (40 player raid)
• These materials take a long time to acquire
• They can all be purchased from the auction house, but are very expensive/scarce
• Your guild will likely need to donate these materials to you

• [Sulfuron Ingot] drops from Golemagg in Blackwing Lair
• Has about a 9% chance of dropping
• That's a 1 in 2.58 billion chance to get all 9 in 9 weeks (0.00000004%)
• That's a 28.6% chance to get all 9 after trying every week for 6 months
• 90.9% chance to get all 9 after trying every week for 1 year
• Can be purchased from the auction house (expensive, scarce)
• 8 are needed for crafting, 1 for [Plans: Sulfuron Hammer]

• 1 [Dark Iron Bar] is crafted using 8 [Dark Iron Ore]
• The Ore is mined with level 230+ Mining
• You will need a total of 160 [Dark Iron Ore] to make 20 [Dark Iron Bar]
• Mine the Ore in Molten Core, Blackrock Depths, Searing Gorge, and Burning Steppes
• Molten Core is the most abundant source of the Ore
• The Bars can only be smelted outside the Molten Core entrance in Blackrock Depths
• The Bars and Ore can be purchased from the auction house (expensive, scarce)

• 1 [Arcanite Bar] is crafted using 1 [Arcane Crystal] and 1 [Thorium Bar]
• Arcanite Bars are crafted with level 275+ Alchemy
• There is a 2 day cooldown to craft one bar (at least 100 days for one player to craft all 50)
• [Arcane Crystal] is mined from Rich Thorium Veins with a 3% drop rate
• [Thorium Bars] are easily acquired from Small and Rich Thorium Veins
• Arcanite Bars and Arcane Cystals can be purchased from the auction house (expensive, scarce)

• [Essence of Fire] is commonly dropped from most mobs in Molten Core
• Can be farmed from elemental mobs in the open world
• Can be purchased on the auction house (usually affordable)

• [Blood of the Mountain] is dropped by Molten Destroyers at a rate of 4%
• Can be mined from Dark Iron Deposits at a rate of 0.5%
• Can be farmed slowly in an uncleared instance of Molten Core
• Around 4-9 Molten Destroyers per run
• On average, you need to kill 18 Molten Destroyers per Blood
• That's 180 Molten Destroyers, 28 Molten Core clears, or 6.5 months of farming (not counting respawn kills or farming)
• Can be purchased on the auction house (expensive, scarce)

• [Lava Core] is commonly dropped from some elementals and bosses in Molten Core
• Can be purchased on the auction house (cost and scarcity varies)

• [Fiery Core] is commonly dropped from some elementals and one boss in Molten Core
• Can be purchased on the auction house (cost and scarcity varies)

Stage 2: Craft Sulfuron Hammer

• Bring 1 [Sulfuron Ingot] to Lokhtos Darkbargainer in Blackrock Depths
• Accept and complete [A Binding Contract] to acquire [Plans: Sulfuron Hammer]
• Have all materials from Stage 1
• Craft [Sulfuron Hammer]!
• Sulfuron Hammer and the Plans can both be purchased from the auction house (expensive, scarce)

Stage 3: Get Lucky

• Be the one person in the raid who everyone agrees should get [Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros]
• Goes to Shamans, Paladins, and sometimes Warriors
• About a 3% chance to drop from Ragnaros, the final boss of Molten Core
• 54.7% chance to drop after trying every week for 6 months
• 1 in 20 people will go 100+ runs without it dropping
• 1 in 100 people will go 150+ runs without it dropping

Stage 4: You Did It!

• Thank your guildmates, don't /gquit
• Collect your reward!
